Registry Fix freeze

Recommended Posts

Hi, every time I try and do a registry fix, it freezes when it reaches a file name odbc.ini while deep scanning. I'm using the freeware version 3.3.1. Can anyone suggest a fix? I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but that did not help. Thanks!

Hi quartet

What are your settings for the Registry fix in the Maintain Windows function?

Or do you mean a registry defrag?

I do not have "Open Data Base Connectivity" in my options for the registry fix.

What are your settings in ODBC?

By the way the uninstall and install should be a clean uninstall/install I think.

Cheers

In Registry Fix settings, I had everything checked. I went back and unchecked "deep scanning" because that was where my problem was happening. Now, it seems to be working again. Is deep scanning a feature of the Pro version only?

EDIT: Never mind, found out that it is a feature of Pro, and that's what was messing me up. Problem solved! Thanks!

Hi quartet

Yes as far as remember it is for the pro version.

That was probably the reason then!

It should not be possible for you to choose it I think, - it must then be a glitch in the setup if you have the free version.
