Internet Booster: Is "Connection Speed" for up or down?

I have ADSL, so what do I say is my connection speed for optimizing? My upload speed or my download speed? Or something in between? I'm surprised I can't find the answer to this anywhere, it seems so basic.

Hi oliver

Just choose the automatic optimising and start the optimising.

It will then set it to the values that you are paying for on your broadband/ADSL connection, you must have chosen them yourself at one time to what fitted your needs and your wallet.

enokype has guided a couple of users through the expert settings - his post about this can be found as a link in Usage of IObit Products under the TCP/IP post there.

Well, Google is a friend of mine, so I've launched a search with "connection test" and I received 153 000 000 responses !

 

So I've tried a few and I was very surprised by the various results obtained !

 

and I have to remember :

 

Kbit / s: debit side of your connection expressed in kilobits transferred per second. The offer of providers (512, 1024,...) are expressed Kbit / s

Kbytes / s: debit side of your connection expressed in kilobytes transferred per second (1 byte = 8 bits)
