Hi gorin

To format what?

If it is the usb stick, there should be several ways

Open it and delete all content

Go to my computer mark the usb Kingston - go to files and choose format

Right click on usb kingston and choose format

Is this what you meant?

Hi gorin

To be quite sure

When you plug in the memory stick, - you get a window with several options and you choose which one?

If it is in during startup of the computer and the bios setting is that it should start from USB, it will react like that if you have the installation files on the stick.

What is it you want to format? The stick? or the C:\ drive?

Hi gorin

It sounds as if something is the matter with your computer

Try running a chkdsk /r (formerly called scandisk) and a sfc /scannow written in Run. This will take some time.

Before beginning that could you send a screenshot of the dialog box that comes up when you insert the USB stick in your computer and also a screenshot of the options you get if you right click your J:\ or K:\ drive in My Computer.

Hi gorin

Precisely, your computer acts weird, therefore I suggested those two scans.

Did you read how to make a screenshot and attach it?
