smart defrag display of files/maps

Recommended Posts

I am using smart defrag 1.20 and I like to understand the "black squares" in the display. My dutch translation suggest black=fixed. But during defragmentation I can see "black squares" moving. At the end of defragmenting I can see "black squares" scattered at the end of the disk space. Why are they not cluttered together in one black block?

Now the free space is "littered" with these "black squares" and my understanding is that the chunk of free space should be as great as possible.
