What was Repaired?

Thanks for the quick reply. I saw that, but this was an automatic care scan. It was reporting that the fix had already been done. How do I see what was fixed? And, what if it messed something up by "fixing" that something. How do I undo that?

thanks

History or what's fixed

Ok, thanks again for the quick reply.

This is a great app. Well woth paying for. The app would be much more complete if it kept a list of what was fixed. Please consider that as an enhancement request.

thanks

This is a good idea, IObit should consider that, but I forgot, you can open the registry files (such as xyz..reg ) in:

C:\Documents and Settings\{User Name}\Application Data\IObit\Advanced SystemCare\Backup

if you have allowed the hidden files to be seen in folder options, open them by NotePad, and try to see some of what were changed.

Cheers.

I must aggree. I am evaluation the program, and I must say that it seems promising - but the inability to see log files seems to be more than an oversight. If I give you the benefit of the doubt, then I am saying that you are so naive as to believe that no one cares/needs to know what was fixed. If I DON'T give you the benefit of the doubt, then I am saying that you are purposefully NOT showing log files because you are bullshitting us on what the program is actually doing/has done.

That being said... I believe that you actually don't understand what you are "saying" when you don't make it easy to see the log files... you are programmers, and don't always see your programs thru the eyes of your users. I believe this is the case here. As a MCSE, CNA, A+ and more certified guy, I am qualified to say two things... that you have a GREAT program... and you are definitely giving the impression that you are hiding something. I don't think that you are... I think your program actually DOES fix all the things you say that it does... but most of your users would get a serious "warm fuzzy" if they could actually SEE what was done, instead of having to take your word for it.

Furthermore... someone like myself who would use your program not only to optimize my system... but determine where the "Crap" is coming from so I can advise my customers NOT to install "program A" and tell them WHY... would actually PAY for your program instead of being disappointed in it.

Bottom line... I don't know your native language... but I am pretty sure it isn't English. I only WISH I could speak another language as well as you do... but if I did, I wouldn't expect to understand all the nuances of your language. And that is what the English speakers are telling you... LET US SEE THE LOG FILES! It is important to us, and would not be hard to implement. Your program is great... I can READ the .reg files and can see what it is doing. Most people can't... and you are losing customers.

Just my input...

Hi Falcon

I do not quite understand.

What log files are we talking about?

The registry changes during scan/repair are located in the Restore Center in the program window.

You can also find them by going into the folder (C:\Documents and Settings\{User Name}\Application Data\IObit\Advanced SystemCare\Backup) and find the sub folder "backup"

Both these places you can mark the changes you are interested in and view what it says in for example notepad - in the Restore Center you just mark the Restore date in question and click the button "view".

In the settings you can also choose the option to make a Restore Point at StartUp every day, this can then be found in the sub folder backup in the ASC folder in the programs.

I doubt this can be read though (except perhaps by specialists) - have never tried :-)

Cheers
