Smart Defrag on a R.A.I.D array

Has anyone tested SD on a RAID Array? Either Raid 1 or Raid 5?

Raid is more resistant to defragmentation than a single disk, however I believe it happens.

 

Any real world experience?

Max Disk Size & Raid 0+1 or Raid 6?

 

We have a raid 0+1 and a raid 6 array system. Both have about 3 TB of storage on them. Can SmartDefrag handle this and do it safely?

Tried running SD on Vista Ultimate 64 bit, AMD 9750 proc, using onboard raid controller, running a striped array, and it will defrag for about 5 or so minutes and then I will start getting raid errors from the nvidia controller.... any suggestions?

Can you run the Windows defrag without errors?

 

The fact that a volume is raid should have nothing to do with how a defragger does it's job.

 

I have used Smart Defrag on w2003 64 bit WSS without issue. I have also used it with XP 64, Vista 64 and right now W7 U RC1 which is 64 bit as well. It seems to be working fine. I have a RAID 1 array on a Lenova W700. A pair of 7.2K RPM 160 Gig drives.
