Lost Network

Folks,

I ran ASC on both my desktop and laptop. Now I can't find either computer from the other. It can't connect and says network path not found. I did "system restore" on both machines, but the network issue remains.

Just a Guess

 

Since I don't know what OS you are running,let's go with a general "run the network installation wizard" on both PC's.Need more details to provide better advice.

Solved

 

I rebuilt the winsock, created new network connections. That failed so I rebooted the router. Fixed. I still don't know what ASC did that farkled it up.

One PC is XP Home and the other is XP Media. Anyhoo, I'm back up and running. Trying to decide if I want to reinstall ASC and try again or not.

There are tons of information for what to do and what not to do there.

 

You should check the Details of the problems found by clicking on it and then choosing the items to be ignored if you don't want ASC to change them and so on.
