Hi ASummer,

Did you try the restore center In ASC to undo the changes? Utilities-Admin Tools-Restore Center. Click on the latest backup date & click un-do changes. Do this one at a time starting with the newest.

I will copy this message into the ASC section of the help forum so more users can help. Please post back there your results.

Hi samr,

 

If nothing works, the last resort could be to rename the following files @:

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\config

 

in restart MS-DOS mode using rename or ren commands.

 

default=>default.old2

SAM=>SAM.old2

SECURITY=>SECURITY.old2

software=>software.old2

system=>system.old2

 

and then rename the following in the same mode to replace the above files:

 

 

default.iobit=>default

SAM.iobit=>SAM

SECURITY.iobit=>SECURITY

software.iobit=>software

system.iobit=>system

 

Restart the PC.
