What is the "SmartSilent" Technologie

In the options tab you can enable or disable the "SmartSilent" technology.

I'm wondering:roll::

What exactly does "SmartSilent"? Is it something like a background service?

Hi Minogue

SmartSilent is only used in connection with AutoDefrag at the moment. This technology ensures that there remains sufficient system resources for the background Windows processes and other running applications.

The benefit should be that you won't notice that AutoDefrag is running while you use the computer.

Some of the other settings must add to this too, while they set an idling time to be reached before defragging commences + that some level of fragmentation has to be reached before defragging sets in.

We do not know the specifics for this.

And to my knowledge no one has tested it sufficiently to be able to tell us.

Thank you both!

Most important for me was to be shure, that this is not

any background servive or an automatic function.

 

BTW the software seems to work very well.
