I would like to prevent Asc(version 3.5) starting with windows.

Impossible to perform this by msconfig tool.

Hello,

 

I think you need not msconfig tools to prevent ASC.

 

Open main User Interface of ASC, click "Option" to find General Setting, than disselect the "Execute at Windows Statup" option and "Apply".

Did you click Apply then OK ?

 

If the box was already un-ticked then try this:

• Tick the box

• Click Apply then OK

• Completely close Advanced System Care (also Exit from SysTray if necessary)

• Launch Advanced System Care

• Un-tick the box

• Click Apply then OK

 

Sometimes these things need to go through the changes again to make them stick

This can also apply to other software as well not just Advanced System Care so it's something to try if you encounter this Options not being applied problem in the future :wink:

You would see ASC not start with windows until your next restart.
