Dave -

Thanks for the help on getting this mess cleaned up.

 

It still takes like 3 minutes to shut down (instead of like 30 seconds).

 

In the past I have reinstalled windows service packs and noticed that the machine shuts down faster. Would it be worth a shot? I would then have to reinstall all the security patches, of course.
