Hi sunny

It is a Network Monitoring application delivered by Microsoft and it needs minimum XP sp. 3

Microsoft recently made an update to this application.

If you have it already you will probably get the update from Microsoft Update.

Cheers (greetings)

solbjerg

p.s. In my opinion there is no reason to defragment Solid State Drives.

(you let your RAM take care of itself, right? I mean you do not try to defrag your RAM??)

anyone advise what NetworkMon is please?

Is it wise to defrag a SSD harddrive it will speed up wear and tear and i do not think its needed as windows built in "TRIM" looks after SSD's

Hi solbjerg,

I think the Network Monitor (NetworkMon) sunny asks is the new utility in the new ASC 3.7.2.

It is a completely different software than the Microsoft's.

NetworkMon in ASC, monitors the inbound and outbound data traffic of the running programs in your PC.

On the other hand what I understand from SSD compatibility is to recognize the SSDs and exclude them from defragmentation.

(Of course, you can defragment a SSD if you really wish.)

Cheers.

Thanks sunny

You are partly right there, - I also devote more time to my dictionary recently.

Cheers
