reset while scanning registry

Hi,

I get very strange behavior when I run WindowsCare Registry Fix. The system will reboot. This happens 100% of attempts.

It happens while scanning and before fixing.

I tried some other registry scan tool and got the same.

 

Any idea what's wrong? Any solution?

Are you trying to run it while it is running automatically in the background?

You are using an old version (2.5.5.805)of AWC Personal.

 

Download latest AWC 2.6.0.835 Personal from this page.

 

Unblock the setup file.

 

Please make a clean uninstall-install as described here by solbjerg.

 

Run the program with Administrator rights. Update ref.dbd.

 

There is also a stand alone IObit Beta RegistryCleaner downloadable from here for you to try.

 

If you still have the same problem, post again error.txt and/or report.txt.

Before I download, can you explain why in IObit site I can get only 2.57 version while a newer version found on another site?

In the General Settings, have you removed the tick in let it start when Windows starts (recommended), because the amount of kB is in the neighbourhood of what it will be if it is running.

 

Regarding versions 2.57 and 2.6.0 it is just that IObit is a bit slow in updating their own site.

If I turn automatic run on, and I always reboot while it scan registry, I'm going into endlees reboot cycle, isn't it so?

The stand alone still rebooted on open scan, but new version passed. Don't know what was to problem tough

The problem probably was that it was installed in the same folder that had leftovers from the previous install in it.
