Installing skins

Note:

The following are instructions for applying skins in Advanced SystemCare 4 only

For help with skins for Advanced SystemCare 5 see the setion ASCv5 PRO Skins

**************************************************

Advanced SystemCare 4 skins can only be changed permanently in the Pro version, in the Free version the skin will only change for 1 minute.

Here are the steps to install and change a skin in Advanced SystemCare 4

• Download the ZIP or RAR files for the skin (there will usually be 2 or more) and Extract the contents of the ZIP or RAR files

(If you need software to extract the contents of the ZIP or RAR files 7-Zip is free, easy to use and works well)

• There will be a total of 4 folders

appimages

css

images

js

• There will also be a document called main This document will be associated with your default browser (EG: FireFox)

• Put the 4 folders and the main document in one folder. This folder should be named the same as the skin.

• Copy that folder

Pro or Free version

Welcome to the forum MtlPlyr

Are you using the Pro version of Advanced SystemCare?

Skins will not permanently change (60 seconds only) in the Free version.

If you have the Free version you might want to have a look at the thread IObit Facebook Fan Page is Celebrating hitting 3000 likes, with 10 FREE license codes of ASC 4!

Welcome

Welcome to the forum qkcn1599

Do either of these replies answer your question?

Are you using the Pro version of Advanced SystemCare?

Skins will not permanently change (60 seconds only) in the Free version.

Can you follow the instructions and screenshots in Post # 3 of this thread

If the answer is not there:

• Try downloading another skin and see if that can be installed

• If you are using a download accelerator to download the skins then try downloading without using the accelerator.

• Try using 7-Zip (free and good) for extracting the skin from the ZIP or RAR (I had problems with other extractors)

If you still need help, please tell us what steps you have taken and any error message you get (if any)

All the best, woz of oz

ASC5 won't except new skins.

I just grabbed up 5. I know how to apply skins but no matter what I do ASC5 won't acknowlege any skin I place into the skins folder. Ive tried to extracting the file and putting it in that way, placeing contents withen the folder in, and the zip files or file they came in. Nothing seems to work why.

Is there a new format for this version.
