Well...

That's why ASC4 says: 1) DO NOT excessively clean your registry! Only thing I can suggest is if you can't reach the system restore section then try the ASC4 Rescue thing, then if that doesn't work then since your OS is corrupted sry m8 but you must reinstall windows.

Rescue or Restore ?

Can you launch Advanced SystemCare 4 ? If you can:

• Click on Rescue (at the top)

• Select the Backup dated before the Scan and removal (in the right pane)

• Click Undo Changes

If that doesn't fix it:

Again in the Rescue window click on View System Restore (in the left pane)

This will take you to Windows System Restore (not ASC) where you can select Restore my computer to an earlier time

Choose a Restore point before the Scan and removal were done.

You can also get to Windows System Restore via:

• Start Menu

• All Programs

• Accessories

• System Tools

• System Restore

All the best, woz of oz

While true a cleaning+optimizing solution shouldn't have this problem..especially one marketing to end-users.

Yes that is actually very true, I think what the programers should do for the next version is add an exemption list for the Registry Clean and the default things in that would be any files ect that are essential to Windows and the computer.

Even better, research and find out what people actually want, and update your product. ASC 4 transparent engine(daily and deep) is full of things known to do things like corrupt browser and connection settings, corrupt MBR, and even delete core OS binaries..you can't disable them outside toolbox tools either.

The best way is probably only do safe cleaning in daily and deep, and optimization and risky stuff in tools.
