Advanced systemcare V5 Problem

Hello Lovely iobit,

A couple of weeks ago i installed Advanced systemcare on a portable Hard drive,By accident it got dropped on a soft Carpet,But still it broke.

So my problem now is,every time i Run the Setup File,It says Automaticly: "The Selected Station does Not exist,Choose another Station the problem is That i cant choose a Station! I click Setup and it Directly shows that :S so Im very vulnerable Against Viruses And Stuff so Please help me as fast as possible.

Is Advanced Systemcare the only affected software? Are you able to uninstall it? If so, perhaps a clean install will install to a different location on the hard disk. Also have you run chkdsk on the hard drive?

P.S. Advanced SystemCare is not effective anti-virus protection! You should be running a true anti-virus such as MSE, Avast, AVG, Avira, etc.!!!

Well the problem is i Installed ASC5 on my Portable Hard drive,and its broken,So no i cant uninstall it,And what is chkdsk?

So you are saying the external drive is completely non-functional? If that is the case chkdsk would not help anyway... I thought the external drive was still functioning but with problems. So in your uninstaller you do not see ASC? In that case just reinstall ASC to a different drive... there is a new version here: http://forums.iobit.com/showthread.php?t=12254

Well thats my problem;If i use the Setup It autimaticly Goes to F:/ But F:/ is broken! So thats why i am here

I see... I believe this is due to some settings inside of your Windows. I don't know what they are right away but I will look into it!:| Hopefully some others will soon post on this too!!

Idea!

 

My Brother has Come with a Good idea!

So my brother comes in my room,and Reads all the posts and he says:"I have an idea,How about i Put the already installed ASC5(Free) On my USB-Stick and put it on your Computer?" I was like;Good idea!! So,its a good idea?

If the problem affects other softwares, you may find a better solution here! http://support.microsoft.com/kb/309000 (You can reconfigure your internal disk defaults to choose the internal drive as default for all applications and activity)

 

Also if you have not had the external drive too long you may be able to use system restore to a date just before you configured it.

P.S. Your brothers Idea should work for ASC! Perhaps he may wish to get the just released version in the link I gave earlier first???
