Will the use of the Spyware Removal and Security Defense parts of AWC2.8.6 conflict with AVG FREE 8.0 or will they compliment it? Anyone, please?

Just disable the protection service of your AVG Free 8.0 for about 15 minutes.

Then, rush at doing all the scans and fixes.

Do not forget to reactivate your AVG Free 8.0 right after, though.

 

And, no, there should not be any conflicts. Especially if, you followed to the letter everything I just instructed you to do as above written.

Hi morgate,

I run AVG and have no conflicts even without disabling the protection. When V. 8 first came out, AVG did read the Spyware Defense blocking in AWC as a "warning" and at one point had a false positive in the updater, but that has all been worked out and work quite well together.

Think i'm a little late to the game but i'm running AVG 8.0, ASC RC 1 and PC tools firewall and i never have any probs so far :-P
