A few things I have noticed happening with AWC pro 2.4.0.889:
I have it on 2 computers with XP & 1 with 2000.
1. On one of the XP & the 2000 the program does not load at startup. It loads sometimes on the other XP.
2. On one XP & on the 2000, System Analysis corrects" Background Intelligent Transfer-Settings Automatic- Recommend Manual every time it scans. I have gone and set this service manually but it continues to find this.
3. I have not seen any of them run an autocare scan, but mabye I am just missing them at the time they run.

I have AWC Pro 2.4.0.892. Today I updated the signature version to 37436. After doing this, system analysis hung up every time I scanned. I checked the error log in the AWC program file and it said "archived file missing- please re-install. I downloaded and re-installed and it is working fine. So if you run in to this problem, please check your error log and see if you need to re-install the program.

Hi gorin002,
Here's a link. Download "registryCleaner.zip. I extracted all files to "program files-Iobit" and run it from there. Works great for me.

Hi Satlantis,
Welcome to the forum.
About the repeated posts-I have deleted them. I don't seem to be having trouble with the forum menu or posts repeating themselves so I'm not sure what is causing the problem you are having. You might try posting later and see what happens.
Thanks, samr.

auto update
Hi Tim,
Already tried that. Auto update still wants to connect to the internet after booting up.

cannot disable auto update
Running AWC Pro 2.3.0.738 on Windows 2000 with dial-up connection. After booting up, the program wants to connect to internet (to update?).
I would rather update manually with dial-up connection, so I un-ticked the auto update fucntions in settings. After re-booting the connection window for auto update still pops up, yet the program shows it is disabled. Any fix for this?

problem after upgrade
We are running XP and upgraded from AWC personal to Pro. We have two administrator accounts on the computer. AWC personal worked fine on both admin. accounts. With the upgrade, it runs fine on one user, but on the other user account there are some problems. The "Liscenced To" still reads"trial" and the "Details" window that shows Operating system, Processor Info, ect. all read "Unknown". If you click the "Details" button it shows "Exception EStringList Error in module AWC Info. dll at 0000E7F1. Attatched is only thing in bug reporting. Any fixes?

is defense siill active in limited user
Yes, but is the spyware defense active when running a limited user?
And does it clean temporary files from limited user profile if you run it as an administratr user?

could administrator run AWC on limited user account?
1.We have 2 administrator and 1 limited user account on xp. As the program is now, there is no way to run AWC on the limited user account. Is there a way it could be set up so the adminitrator could run AWC on the limited user account?
2. If AWC is run on administrator account, is the spyware defense still active when running a limited user account?
Post your suggestion, bug report here

Hi Paul,
Double click "My Computer', click "Local Disc :(probably C), then Program Files, then Iobit, Advanced windows Care. Then click "main.ini file" and find the text "Safe Mode=0". Click after the 0, then backspace and change it to "1". When you exit it will probably ask if you want to save changes.Click Yes. Should fix the problem. Scan is more compatable with safe mode of 1.
