  1. W8 smartRam Hi Captain, I think your right W8 incompatability. please wait for Cicely (Iobit liason) to reply. Roy
  2. Reaper slow startup Hi Reaper, not sure if this will work but worth a try; Delay start-up. Standard MS option. ControlPanel>services>ASC7(rightclick)startuptype> change to (dropdown option)delayed. Roy
  3. startup smart ram Hi Captain just set up smart ram on W7 X64 HP. seems to work Checked Via ControlPanel>AdminstrationTools>systemConfig>startup. could you post any futher details or a screenshot of last item, (startup) Roy
  4. Ooops Sorry Cicely, Yes i did mean ASCU, Not sure exactly how often ASCU >>>CHECKS<<< for database updates: ie on logon/delayed, but you could introduce an option to check either at a specific time or every X minutes, using a dropdown facility when the programmme is first downloaded as part of the set-up proceedure. Roy
  5. timer update To counter Zero hour threats, the AV database should have a timer option installed ie 60min/120/240/360/etc/daily as a settings option, or an auto imposed ZHT option, (as and when). Roy
  6. audio drivers HI Hachico, Downloaded and ran mine to day, it found mine, to bring it upto V6804, I suspect that this Beta database is still slightly out of date. Although the screenshot does not show it as being Realtek >>Room for improvement here<< Roy
  7. rollback Fortunately there is a built-in rollback facility within Windows, as Enoskype pointed out , ControlPanel>DeviceManager>device(monitor/mouse/etc)Rightclick/driver/rollbackDriver BUT if you use non-standard retailers drivers problems could occur. Thats why i made my previous post Standard Belkin USB N wifi, installed using disk,(but showing as 802.11n lan driver in device manger/network adapters, after updating) however they and many other companies are a) notorioulsy slow at updating them b) rely on WindowsUpdate to update generic versions c) Actually use drivers from major component manufactuers for the product. In my case the driver is actually written by Railink, so i updated from the primary source. BE aware that if you go down this route, you MUST continue to use it and not the standard MS driverupdater, it will roll it back to the latest standard driver, Belkin in my case. Not sure how the definitions database will treat this?. looking foward to this Roy
  8. me Too Gonna have a go at this. Wanna see what it says/does about my BelkinN USB, cause i use Railinks own, (Newer/better/faster). Roy
  9. scan comments first scan Approx 129K records scanned took 25 mins nice to see scan progress on the toolbar icon, but still sticks at 74% for ages when inspecting registry still says Suspect, checking or inspecting would be better Dog setting now appears to stay on high if selected Roy
  10. general Hi DV8 regarding the smart defrag dropdown, if you havn't got smart dfrag installed it shows Fix so it might be difficult to adopt your suggestion, this section is i suspect more for sales purposes. Roy
  11. blocked items Hi Cicely, some time way back i posted regarding an option to view blocked items. Its merrily hidden away in V1. it certainly would be nice. Roy
  12. conflicts - Browser v Optimisers Your welcome Rebob, the most annoying 1 auto completion of location bar url's most have this set for auto complete, hate it, spent ages trying to find out what was over-riding FF preferences. Roy
  13. firefox cookie settings Hi Rebob, FF has its own cookie settings options, see attached. options>privacy>settings>uncheck cookies Roy
  14. upgrade/downgrade Hi Jpi, It wont matter key is valid for both. BE aware ultimate is still beta. Roy
  15. very small number off testers Hi all, Just popped over to Majorgeeks and had a look at the number of downloads. 2060, (11-10-12). Going on the posts here id bet there only about 1/2 of them were actually activated at the most. I would have thought Iobit would like a few more testers than that. ASC/AV license is valid for this product Roy
  16. Palemoon Hi tresclub, Pale moon is a lite version of firefox, not sure but i would think that it falls under the umbrella,(included), when you optimize FF. Roy
  17. windows task scheduler Hi lyon, I see your running w7, have you looked to see whats running, in WTS UNLESS YOU CANCEL IT, regisrty defrag is 1 of them, it is also based on a %, and i believe it runs weekly on a sunday. I cancelled mine Roy

    curious

12/13 Its those Blackfoot Indians there very sneaky
  19. suggestion re security programs shutdowns SuperDave has recently been helping me with a problem, certain actions required me to shutdown multiple AV's etc. Would it be possible to have a tool option to list and stop/start these services based on the lines of the v1 game booster. If you think its a good possibity, I also think it shoud be included in Toolbox Roy
  20. add to 360 as most attacks appear to come from certain ports would it not be a good idea for 360 to add a SUSPECT port facility warning
  21. bug report sent to you and its answer sent a bug report approx 19.00bst. i was playin around in windows services to try and get my automatic updates to work, and i started/enabled those that had been stopped/manualed by AWC free system optimizer. re booted pc and got bug report (sent to you). decided to reoptimize on the off chance and the 12 settings were done. rebooted again No bug report/problem. check my last 2 restore to correct/amend i360
  22. vulnerability fix incorporation into beta 2 good prog see my major post in sub forum, registry fix required for downloaded updates. posted here for 360 continuity.
  23. default OFF ?? just downloaded and run v1.1 it would appear that the protection defaults are OFF logic dictates they should be On. On v1.0 scan option showed external drive choice, has this been removed or is it part of the upgrade,(i havnt got any so it might not show it anyway. NO problems with OS XP Pro SP3 IE8 Firefox and av (avast) details correct It took about 25mins to run scanning approx 80000 objects exact total not shown on summary Its lookin good keep it up
