Is this product safe?

I was thinking about downloading the pro version of ASC 5 and was wondering is this product relatively safe? I know all cleaners and optimizers have the potential to cause harm to your PC, but is it easy to correct most unwanted results? I have read reviews online about this product and I have come across some comments that make me a little nervous. Some say that programs that "optimize" your system are not needed with windows 7 and can do more harm than good. I'm not sure what to think.

ASC is really a collection of Many different utility programs, that do different things. You can select which of them you Need to run on your system.

(deactivate the ones not needed by removing the check-marks)

Many should be run regularly (every few days for heavy users),

but other utilities need running rarely or only when you need assistance solving a problem.

The important thing is to learn what they are doing before you start changing and deleteing things.

(You can Not just Blindly start clicking things that remove files and settings)

If you do that, it will be Very Helpful and Safe!

Most are needed for W-7 Also.

Yes that is correct. 8:)

I like to take the time to Learn what they All are, before deleteing Anything, though.

You can Search for and Find almost Anything on the Internet now. ;-)

There were a lot of them lol. No telling how long it would have taken if I tried to learn what each one was. I guess I'm willing to risk it with the low risk entries. Maybe I should consider downloading erunt? Is that a good backup plan?

Thanks for the responses

Erunt is a good 'Registry-backup' program but ASC Already has one, called 'Rescue-center'.

See 'Rescue' button at top of main ASC window.

I've never had to do a Restore, using Rescue-center, but I've not seen any complaints about it ?

Yeah, I have noticed the rescue center, but if I'm not mistaken, it only backs up things that have been deleted, correct? I think erunt backs up the entire registry. Plus, I think you can restore erunts backup even if windows will not boot.
