Hi within settings of S Defrag' whats the advantage of 'ticking' the recommended 'enable smart silent technology whist defragmenting'? Also 'Stop defragmenting whilst using batteries', should you always have this ticked when using a laptop?

enable smart silent technology is used to ensure that enough system resources are available to run windows background tasks and other applications, in other words it stops SD from hogging resources.

 

Yes Stop defragmenting whilst using batteries', should you always be ticked when using a laptop. It is to prevent issues if SD was still busy and the batteries went flat.
