CHKDSK need to proceed

I have installed Smart Defrag on a pc with Windows XP x64, but sometimes a message appear.

This message say that some files are damage and a CHKDSK is required to proceed.

The CHKDSK with /p and /r shows that there aren't bad sector or other problems.

 

My computer have a two disks on RAID0 (Jmicron JMB363).

Motherboard is ASUS P5KC.

4GB of ram

Has it anything to do with SmartDefrag?

If it is damaged files in SmartDefrag you should perhaps then try a clean install.

If it is something else you could try " sfc /scannow " if you have the Installation CD/DVD available. (If you have it in the computer it will probably find it by itself.)

If CHKDSK keeps appearing you need to check out your hard drives one may be starting to fail.

have you checked the logs in event viewer.

Hi Inteercooled-for a look at what Sunny is talking about, go here-also, if you have your original Win installation cd, you can run a full repair console(usually done with a boot-up from F12)if you need more info,get back to us-great day and God bless
