RUnning ASC Pro 8 with a solid state drive

Recommended Posts

I just got a new computer with a solid state drive. In all my past computers that didnt have solid state drives I would do regular deep scans with ASC and it kept my system running perfectly. I know it is not ideal to defragment solid state drives so I was wondering which options would be safe to run and which would be best to leave unchecked. On my machine the available options are: spyware removal, registry fix, privacy sweep, junk files clean, internet boost, shortcuts fix, registry defrag, system optimization, security defense, disk scan, vulnerability fix, and disk optimization. I also noticed there was a system reinforce option under the protect tab and a turbo boost option. Are these safe for solid state drives? Thanks in advance

Also, Is there a number I can use to reach Iobit?...It seems that the only contact number on their site does not work.

Hello thecityguy,

Since Advanced SystemCare 8, we changed Disk Defragment to Disk Optimization. The reason is that Disk Optimization can supports disk defragment for HHD and disk optimization to SSD.

Thus no features need to be uncheckded even if you are using SSD as our latest ASC 8 and ASC Ultimate supports SSD as well.

Have a good day!

Greetings to all,

I have Advanced System Care 13 Free installed on a Windows 10 PC with a recently installed Solid State Disk drive.

Is it safe to delete Windows junk files and perform disk optimization on a daily basis ("Care" set of features), even if TRIM feature is activated (ASC activated it during a previous optimization run)?

Thanks in advance for any replies towards my inquiry.
