Advanced System Care 8 PRO hangs when scanning for Spyware

When scanning for spyware, it takes an unusually long time on random windows system files, usually "iexplorer.exe" and before you ask, no, that program was not running in the background at all as I checked TaskManager. After 5 minutes, it finally moves on, but it's not a big file and it has not done this before in all the time I've been using ASC as freeware. What's going on?

First time I've seen that issue so far. I'd also be curious to see if that happens on the same PC but on a different user profile though.

Ok, downloaded, though it's no longer hanging on "Scanning for Spyware", now it's hanging on "Scanning for Disk Errors" and the C: is a Solid State Drive and not a very big one. When I tell it to skip, it then hangs on "Disk Optimization". Attaching the zipped report file your tool just created. Also, I was unable to open Task Manager during the hang nor was I able to shut down Windows. Had to do a hard reboot to regain control of my system.

Ran it again. It gets all the way to "Disk Optimization" and hangs at 96%. Here is an image. Its been idling for 15 minutes now.

To fix the issue, please take the following steps:

 

1. Please download file from http://wikisend.com/download/663582/ASC_FIX.zip

 

2. Unzip the file and run ASCFixTool.exe, click “Fix Error” button.

 

If the issue cannot be solved, please download the tool from http://testdemo.iobit.com/InfoHelperV8.exe

 

Then double click to run this tool and click “Save report to Desktop”. You will get a zipped file IObit_Debug_Info.zip on your desktop, please send it to us so that we can get the detailed information to look into.

Ok, downloaded the first tool, ran it, it decalred Error Fixed. Ran ASC8Pro with ONLY the Disk Optimization and within minutes it got up to 91%. After an hour, it is STILL at 91%. Downloaded the second suggested tool. Attaching the file it generated.

Sorry for it taking so long.

 

Please kindly take the following steps:

1. Please download demo from http://wikisend.com/download/161580/DiskDefragDemo.zip
   
2. Unzip the demo and double click to run DiskDefragDemo.exe
   
3. Select Disk Optimization, then click Analyze button to see whether it will freeze
   
4. If it freezes, please let it for at least 20 minutes, then please send us the generated file sdlib.log and dcore.log under the same folder of DiskDefragDemo.exe
   
5. Also, please remember to check the CPU usage during the freezing and tell us the value.
   
6. One more step, please try Smart Defrag to see whether it will freeze
