Is there a problem with 8.3?

I have been using ASC 8.2 since it released and have had no problems but since updating to 8.3 it has stopped working and even freezes my system. Anytime I click on the shortcut, I get the little circle showing that the system is working then the entire system freezes to the point that I have to do a hard shut down.

 

Is anyone else having this problem or know how to fix it?

Please reinstall ASC v8,3 from http://download.cnet.com/Advanced-SystemCare-Free/3000-2086_4-10407614.html to see how it works.

 

If the issue continues, please download the tool from http://testdemo.iobit.com/InfoHelperV8.exe

 

Then double click to run this tool and click “Save report to Desktop”. You will get a zipped file IObit_Debug_Info.zip on your desktop, please send it to us so that we can get the detailed information to look into.

May that shortcut is from the previous version? How about if you create a new one from Program files itself?

I am having exactly the same problem. ASC 8.3 freezes my whole PC, so does the DeFrag software.

 

Please advise.

How did ASC cause system freeze, as soon as you launch ASC or during scanning?

 

How long will your system freeze? Does the issue occur every time?

As soon as it starts the whole PC freezes. The mouse wont move, i cant enter task manager or anything. have to reboot.

 

Defrag does it too.

Please take steps below to help us look into the issue:

 

1. Please reinstall ASC from http://www.iobit.com/downloadcenter.php?product=asc8-dl

 

2. Then please download ASC.zip from http://wikisend.com/download/904544/ASC.zip

 

3. Unzip the file and then copy and replace the original ASC.exe under installation folder of ASC with the downloaded ASC.exe

 

To open installation folder of ASC 8, please right click on its desktop shortcut and select Open file location.

 

4. Please run ASC to see how it works, then find and send us ASC.log under the installation folder of ASC
