Files Reappear After Deletion

Hello,

 

Files deleted in my folders or desktop reappear after re-boots.

 

Normal delete or Shift-Delete does not make any difference.

 

Recycle Bin is empty.

 

I appreciate any help.

what happens if you shred them by IObit's shredder in ASC9? F.x. by DOD.

 

Did you try to repair the Recycle Bin within Win Manager of Toolbox?

 

Does https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/236073 fit to your situation?

 

You can delete the files if you boot into Safe Mode.

 

Please give more info about your state!

I have not tried to shred them with IObit's shredder in ASC9.

 

My system is Win 7 home, so the KB does not fit my situation.

I always use Shift-Delete to remove files permanently.

 

I would rather not have to go into Safe Mode everytime to delete files, but

I will try it this time.

This is a very common issue and has been happening for many years and as usual MS are chasing their tail on it. Please try the following to see if it resolves the issue....

 

Open Task Schedular as an admin, find tasks "Win7_DataLocalization_Final" & "Win7_FinalDataLocalization_Delete". If Logged off, then log back on.

 

See if the issue still occurs.
