All windows randomly minimize

I checked out the FAQs and did a quick search but didn't find anything. Ever since I installed Start Menu 8 over a year ago, several times during the day all my windows will minimize randomly. It doesn't matter what I am doing at the time, and it sometimes happens while the computer is idle. General Google searching uncovered that other people experience the same problem, and uninstalling Start Menu 8 fixes it. I was just dealing with the annoyance, but last week I upgraded to version 3.0.0.1 of Start Menu 8 hoping the new version would address the problem. It did not, so here I am! Does anybody else experience this problem and is there a workaround?

Sorry for it. Please download the tool GetIObitConfigurationFile.exe from https://www.dropbox.com/s/zeebd524gwwg67b/GetIObitConfigurationFile.exe?dl=0. Then double click to run it and click “Save report to Desktop”. After it finished, click OK. Then you will get the file iu_logs_xxx.log on your desktop. Please send iu_logs_xxx.log to us for further checking.

 

And please uninstall Start Menu 8 to check whether the same situation or not. Please tell us the result.

Please provide us more information about what operations you did before windows minimized.

 

Did windows minimize when you were inputting words? Or when you were dragging some windows?

 

How often did the issue appear?

Hi spangenb,

 

Please follow the steps below to check whether the issue is solved or not.

1.Download the demo from the link https://www.dropbox.com/s/7xsh614cqv57un5/StartMenuDemo.exe?dl=0

2.Run the demo, click the button Close Start Menu Win Key Hook.

3.Restart your computer and use your computer normally to check whether the issue appears again or not. Please tell us the result.

 

Note: after clicking the button Close Start Menu Win Key Hook, when you press Windows key, it will not open the start menu of our program Start Menu 8, but open the system default start menu.

If you want to open the start menu of our program when you press Windows key, please run the demo again and click the other button Open Start Menu Win Key Hook. And restart your computer again.

Thanks for your detailed information.

 

Please download the tool from http://testdemo.iobit.com/InfoHelperV9.exe. Then double click to run this tool on the PC with problem and click "Save report". After it finishes, you will get a pop up window to tell you where the report file IObit_Debug_Info.zip is saved. Click "OK" button to open that saved folder. Please send the zipped file to us.

1.Please download the file setup_1328.zip from the link below.

2.Unzip it. There are four setup files. Please run setup1.exe to reinstall Start Menu 8 to check whether the issue is solved.

 

3.Run setup2.exe to reinstall Start Menu 8 again to check whether the issue is solved.

 

4.Refer to the steps above to run setup3.exe and setup4.exe separately to check whether the issue is solved.

 

Please tell us the result of each setup file separately.
