1.10 IObit SmartDefrag Suggestions and Features

1. Option to check how many clusters 100mb file or 200mb or higher file should be skipped.. to preserve speed of defragmenting.. sometimes it's good enough to skip large files but sometimes it's good to defrag files that are in too many pieces ( so add extra option next to that 100mb , 200mb 500mb skip file ... )

2. Option to defrag drive only when defragmentation of drive exceeds 1% , 5% or 10%.. etc..

3. Report after defrag needs to have systems files in the list!

4. Boot time defrag would be good for faster MFT and Pagefile + Hibernation locations..

5. Window needs to have maximize and resize enabled!

6. Smart optimize needs extra option to skip jpeg or other specific files like media or text files..

7. Directories close to MFT for faster speed.. ( Infront or back of MFT <- some programs add directories only before MFT and take away space for files that are speed hungry frequently used..! )

8. Files that are being moved need to be YELLOW <- we can see only pruple color to where are things moved but we can't see from where..

9. Moving defraged files to largest free space is not smart defragment! when there is enough room on faster part of the disk!

When someone finds more features to add then post to this thread..

Agreed

Good suggestions-no. 2 should be easy as we already have that function for defrag through ASC, and no.4 by all means-I've been harping on that one for quite some time.http://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/Computer/compute-9.gif
