Driver Booster 8 not working on CReative Game Port controller updates

Hello,
I run Windows 10 Pro on an HP xp8400 PC. 

Driver Booster has been telling me to update Creative Game Port, current version 1 29/01/2003 with v5.12.2.0 01/04/2006 for some months. I have asked DB (now on v8.4) to apply the update many times in the recent 2 or 3 months. It goes through the process, downloads the update and installs it, but then drops me back to the same 'old' version indication and asks me to Update it all over again.

Something has got stuck.

Any ideas? Can anyone feed this back to the Support people please?

Did you open your Device Manager and see what the actual installed driver version is.

If it is the latest version, then that will prove that DB is identifying it incorrectly.

If it is not the latest version, then try installing it manually yourself.

It is possible that your Antivirus/antimalware or Controlled Folder Access is blocking the driver installation.

Try it with your Antivirus/antimalware temporarily disabled. Also look in Controlled Folder Access to see if anything related to

Creative Game Port or the driver , has been blocked.
