I'm surprised that it is still running as 32-bit code which limits the direct access to 4GB which as discs get bigger - I only have an 8TB - must make for the application having to do a lot of internal paging which I'd have thought would disappear when using 64-bit code. Would this paging explain why your app seems to get a much slower on bigger discs?
