I just have one Vista computer that I have put thousands of hours into getting it to run efficiently enough to perform all of the tasks I require of it 40% faster and for for 1/3 of the resources that it did when it was 'new' and traverse the internet at speeds 4X faster than it could when I got it from Microsoft. Even if I had 5 computers this one would still be the one that I would be using all of the time because there are simply not enough hours in the day to get several more computers to run as fast and efficiently as this one does now in that it will put in a 16 hour day of heavy use editing 40+ MB PSD format photos and cruising the internet at speeds between 30 Mbps and 34 Mbps and at the end of the day it will be using 25 MB more RAM than when it started in the morning making the use of other computers that I might have as a primary computer a compromise in performance and I simply have no need for an array of computers to perform the tasks that I have to do in that the work is of a spontaneous and creative nature and not programmable and automated.

sure if one only needs one -that's plenty -and are happy

i just purchased a new PC!! oh this this is a beast---fast or what!!

we are testing and putting add in devices -ram- the best we can find! ,4 hard drives- looking at blue ray read and write type device,

2 dvd-1 floppy, external drive-testing video cards, linking it to - our netted system as soon as we get it right!!

i would love to be able to sit and spent time face to face with you -

as with others -you know ,this type on communication is marvels-

inviting different ,humans into ones home-sitting and talking --reading the post.

and is nearly the same as if you all are in my home---you get to read and try to imagine what sort of Pearson one may be posting with--

i will say this also here we have a communality of many walks of life ,different interests yet able to post our views,thoughts,feeling,knowledge-share

-just to add

That would be great! I've learned enough foreign languages that I could communicate with about 2 billion people, but with the speed at which you're English skills are coming along I might not need to use any of them!

I have 2 desktops. One runs 3 bit XP and the other runs 32 and 64 bit versions of Win 7 on two hard drives. I have two laptops. One is an ancient 32 bit XP machine with issues. I recently purchased a Dell Studio XPS 16 and am running 64 bit Win 7 on it. I plan to build a new desktop later this year around an i7 quad processor.
