Please may we have the option to attach avatars to our posts here? They help create a friendly atmosphere and they're fun, too.

Thank you for avatar feature.

now can you possibly remove calling us novice?

thank you!

You will find that is the default with the Forum software, so not really any need to take offence to it. I'm sure Tim could fix it when he has time, but wouldn't you like him to spend more time on improving AWC? :P

can AWC get better than it is? i think it is just great, myself. Norton improved its System Works until it almost used more resources than Windoze. AWC is tops! and so is Tim, Jesse, and the entire team.

Haha, no no no, we are just at the begginning. We have to work hard to make innovation and creative product. There will be some innovation for AWC and IObit website, but I can't tell you the detail now, haha. Please just wait for it.

nikef,

-Go to and click "User CP" on top left of the forum page.

-Choose "Edit Avatar" in the Control Panel Settings&Options on the left pane.

-Choose "Use Custom Avatar", and either from your PC or from the web, you can use avatar of the maximum size of your custom image is 80 by 80 pixels or 19.5 KB (whichever is smaller).

-Follow the instructions.

That's it.

Go to "Edit Options", then down, go to "Thread Display Options", and check what you want to be displayed.(Check "Show Avatars")

Yes, its checked, but under "Edit Avatar" there isn't a place at the bottom to upload, just generic avatars to choose from. Am I missing something?

Strange- on mine it shows custom avatar if you scroll down from generic avatars. Has a place to check to use custom avatar and a place to upload it. However, there are some things in my control panel that don't show (right, enoskype?)

Strange indeed. Does me being a newbie to the forum w/just a couple of posts have anything to do w/it? Maybe if Senior Citizen status can be proven by me, will that qualify for an overide for an avatar? :-D

I am going to make a new profile for myself that is not an administrator and then see if I can edit my avatar... there may be a certain status needed first before getting your own custom avatar... or Tim/Jesse may need to modify the setting themselves.

anyways... looks like the administrator does need to enable custom avatars... but even though it says I'm an administrator I'm pretty sure Tim or possibly Jesse needs to do it so I'll mention it to Tim soon (won't be home tonight though since I have a couple o' parties to attend for graduation :)

sorry for the inconvenience

We all are waiting for Tim and/or Jesse to response now after reading Clayton.

The below link may clarify the situation:

http://www.iobit.com/forums/faq.php?faq=vb_user_maintain#faq_vb_avatar_how

Under Heading:

How do I get a picture under my username?

It is written that:

"The administrator may also have enabled custom avatars, which allows you to upload an avatar image from your computer."

I will repeat my request in post:

http://www.iobit.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1793#post1793

(How about the insistancy samr? )
