solbjerg- Sorry about all of this. jjj started dissing Vista again for no good reason and when I called him on it he went ballistic and started all of these hate threads. Just for the record I've worked on XP computers before and I think it is a great OS!

I started with Win 3.1 - after a year or two I moved to Win 95 and then fairly quickly to Win 98se which I had for some years - I then accepted the Win XP and have used that since.

Happy with especially the possibility to be able to go back to a previous Windows System setting!!

I think I will jump to Win 7(se) next year :-)

I therefore appreciate all constructive comments on its strong points - and on its weeker points too!

Likewise I actually like some of the older Microsoft Office editions better too!

But are also using Open Office, -some aspects there are better I feel.

In my opinion XP is considered now a weak OS and soon will be history like many others since no pc now comes with XP pre-installed.

 

So the thinks have. Progress goes on.

XP is for the museum like Windows 3.1, 95 ,NT. 98, 2000

 

So XP rest in peace.

XP has been excellent since day1 of its release.

 

Its just that its been superceded by vista & I expect W7
