Back in 1972 I went for a sailing (sails) trip with my German friend Torsten in the Kattegat and in the Baltic Sea for a couple of months.

I didn't shave in all that time and let it grow for another 6 months.

Then one day I got tired of it and took it off and shaved.

The day after my sister visited me - and when she saw me she hid her face in embarrassment.
