AWC windows repair?

for unknown reason I have no audio device all of a sudden.

If I switch user the audio device is there and works.

 

In control panel audio option I cannot click the option

place volume control in system tray.

 

I was hoping that AWC would repair this audio problem.

Am i doing something wrong?

Should I be doing something else?

Are you not running the computer as administrator?

OK, take a look under Administation/Services and see if sound is activated

I have been to Control panel and audio.

It states in Volume option:

no audio device. It does not allow even

click on any option place volume icon in system tray.

 

How is it that I have use of volume and icon in system tray

when I switch user.

 

How can I place or replace audio device?

I forgot to mention that skype and yahoo messenger phones work with usb connected device / phone.

So why no sound when on the web which was working before.

Why no audio device shown in control panel?

Can it be either skype or yahoo?

Or do I need to just replace the audio dice /driver?

No i meant Controlpanel /Administration/ Services and then find all that relates to sound or audio and activate it if it is not already.

But you can do it through AWC too under tools/addons/Services

If you right click my computer choose preferences and in the window that comes up choose hardware you can under the first item (handling?) see all applications on your computer, there you can try to make the computer search for another/newer driver for the application, and accept it if it finds any.

If all else fails it is possible that a sfc /scannow in "run" can fix it.

But use it with caution, as it is a very powerfull tool - also it needs the install cd to run

It could be that you haven't looked under details when you made AWC run a clean up, so go into your tools/startUp manager and see if a device there is clicked off that relates to the problem, then click it on and add it to the ignore list.

what other security applications are you running? some might conflict with windowscare. i have no problem with sound after using it and im sure the iobit crew can help pin point the exact problem
