Privacy Center

I have tried IOBit Security 360 and AVG free on a known malware called "Privacy Center" without being able to get rid of it. It is a really annoying spy/malware.

 

I have found a manual description of getting rid of it but it doesn't seem to work. Can't find the described files but still have the program icon and popups.

 

What should I use to get rid of it?

Please describe your security setup. What antivirus/malware/spyware software are you running and is it up to date...

 

What kind of platform are you running... windows xp,vista,7,ubuntu...etc?

 

Do you have the latest versions of Iobit tools as well to clean up your registry after removal???

SuperAntiSpyware ?

 

I remember reading about this Privacy Center nasty before.

If my memory serves me well, SuperAntiSpyware will detect and get rid of it.

If SuperAntiSpyware doesn't then try MalwareBytes

 

Do you use a second anti-malware at the moment ?

I think it's a good idea to have two anti-malware on hand, no one anti-malware is perfect :wink:
