the new version giving odd registry results, after update found 63 reg entries which made me sit up in surprise, anyway fixed all of them within program and ran again this time 4 so fixed them i presume they may have been regenerating entries.

After closing program down to background taskbar it pop up again after 10-15 minutes with the small pop up saying fixed 10 entries.

scans in prev ver only ever showed single figures in fixed reg entries [deep scan enabled]

anyone else getting various results over a very short period?

all working otherwise in w7

[in xp still cannot run ASC as it disables my norton 360 ver4 beta in some sort of software conflict.]

v3.4.2

+ Added Software Uninstaller utility -NEW

* Fixed general bugs

Hi enoskype,

I noted that there is a "Software Uninstaller" under the Admin Tools of Utilities in v.3.4.1, but works just like the one in Control Panel. Is the one in v.3.4.2 a new one that can uninstall remains of software as well?

Thanks,

ASC Uninstaller

Not feeling the love

Anyone else seeing the following or know of a solution for this ?

I first tried installing version 3.4.2 over the top but got the following results.

So, I tried a full Clean install using Revo and cleaned the registry, searched with Everything Search and deleted all folders plus a computer Restart but still I get the same results, as follows:

Clicking on ASC Software Uninstaller produces the following message:

http://forums.iobit.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3646&d=1261907406

Clicking on OK produces the following screen (surely Uninstaller should come to the front):

http://forums.iobit.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3647&d=1261907427

Selecting Icon View looks like this:

All the best, woz of oz

What is the difference between: asc-setup.exe - downloaded from Majorgeeks and asc-setup.exe - downloaded from iobit (direct down-download.iobit....).

See on picture (both have 3.4.2.0).

Thank you Tim,

The non-unicode character problem for translated language files is also solved by the modified new SoftwareUninstaller.exe. (EDIT:Only works correctly in XP)

Cheers.

EDIT: Unfortunately only the attached Sut_SoftUninstaller.exe below works for the non-unicode character problem for translated language files in XP and Windows 7.

I agree about the new uninstaller; it is a major improvement from the windows utility, and I'm sure it will continue to improve.

The one complaint I have, albeit a minor one, is on occasion, an installed program will not be listed. This doesn't seem to be a system issue, as the program is listed in ccleaner, so I'm not sure if this simply a bug. If it is a bug, that is completely understandable, as this is a new app.

Regardless, great job adding this much needed app to ASC...
