Getting error after trying to access system info

I upgraded to direct x 10 and afterward I noticed that when I clicked on System info under admin tools I would get a ( " is not a valid integer value )

after I click ok the system info window opens but when I click on "operating system" I get the same error everything else works.:-( I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but that didn't help.

Please keep in mind that actually there is XP, 2000, Vista and Seven running on computers, so it would be interesting to announce some information about your config... OS, pack, memory...

 

Well, I remember there was some bugs with XP and there is a special version for this OS...

in "run" type DXDIAG" and enter this will check your dx for errors

Sry for not posting system info, it was late and I was tired, I also checked dxdiag and it showed everything was working properly. I am using a BETA version of DX10 for XP.

Please read the following about DirectX10 for XP.

If you insist on using DX10, at least you can use KM-Software DirectX Changer 1.1 downlodable from HERE to use both DX9 and DX10.

I see you have a gateway back in the late 90's I had a gateway before i built my own, and they had an excellent 24/7 freephone helpline if they still run this give them a try.

I would use the recommended version directx 9c.

 

I tried version 10 many months back - it didn't work well, so reversed that and went back to version 9c

I have XP sp3 too.
