Hi bucsfan2,

It will be helpful for IObit staff to help if you can give screenshots.

That is a Delphi Run-Time Error 201 Range check error.

1.An array was accessed with an index outside its declared range.

2.Trying to assign a value to a variable outside its range (for instance an enumerated type).

Thank you and cheers.

Hi bucsfan

What is your OS language? What language do you use?

Could you please furnish us with some more information and perhaps some screenshots?

Cheers

Relatively experienced with computers, and I'm not exactly sure what this error means. I have tried running with admin, and compatibility to XP SP2, but it won't close services. Running Vista 32-bit. Thanks in advance.

English. I'm not sure if there is any more information that would be useful. Avast! antivirus is stopped currently, and it still does not work. None of the services actually "stop". GameBooster does not "crash", but I do have to go to Task Manager to close it-- it "thinks" it's in Gaming Mode already.

Hi bucsfan

Have you tried the "clean install" approach?

Link to description in my signature :-)

In Options try choosing Edit service list - copy it and let us take a look at the settings

Cheers

So is there any way to fix this problem? None of the Windows Services are closed, or processes.

I just uninstalled it and reinstalled, and also did the Advanced Care Free-- and it still doesn't work, same error as before.

Hi bucsfan

same settings as in mine except for the first item - minimize - by me a 0 (zero), rest of the items 1 (one)

between uninstall and install - did you delete the program folder?

Cheers

I have the "Range Check Error" as well

Hello

Gamebooster was running great with no problems until I did a clean install of version 1.31 then my problems started. When I press on the "Switch to gaming mode the above mesaage appears. To exit Gamebooster I have to Control, alt, delete and end the process.

Do you have any idea what it might be? Is there a "fix" for it as I think this is a great little programme!

Cheers

Hi Arsenalfan

After the uninstall of GB - did you then delete the program folder prior to installing the unblocked version of 1.31?

Cheers

Hi Arsenalfan

The Gamebooster folder is normally located C:\Programs\IObit\Game Booster

The reason for a "Clean Install" and the procedure is explained in Usage of IObit Products thread in the Lounge section - a link is provided in my signature - either by reading it all or by using the link for the itemized contents.

Range Check Error

Hi

Thanks for your help. I have unistalled and used the registry cleaner then re down loaded the file and installed (after "properties" and "unblock file")

but sadly no luck!

As a last resort I tried a "system restore" but that has not worked either.

Do you know if the old version is still available?

Thanks for your efforts

Hi Arsenalfan

Did you then delete the folder between uninstall and new install?

That is the primary thing to do if one wants to make a clean install.

Windows System Restore, why did that not work?

Range Check Error

Hi

There wasn't a folder to delete as I think unistalling via the control panel had performed the "folder" unistall for me i.e automatically.

As for the restore I don't know why it didn't work as I did choose a date prior to update of new version of gamebooster.

I'm sure I have followed all instructions correctly so I am puzzled as to why it will not work.

Cheers

Hi Arsenalfan

Do you mean to say that the address: C:\programs\IObit didn't look like this in your Explorer after you had deleted the Gamebooster program?

Range Check Error

Hello

My files do not look like that when gamebooster has been installed !

Can you tell me how I take a "folder" snapshot like you have done and then you can see for yourself what is happening.

Basically I have the main Ibot folder with subfolders titled "Gamebooster" and "Language" and that is all.

Thanks

Ok Arsenalfan

Certainly sir!

In the thread Usage of IObit Products in the Lounge section there is a post that deals with sceenshots and attachments.

What I did was to take a screenshot of the IObit folder in Programs in Explorer, I saved it to my Picture folder in the IObit picture folder, then I trimmed the picture to only show relevant data, saved it as .jpg and attached it to my post.

Links to the mentioned thread is in my signature and additionally there is a link to the contents of the thread

http://forums.iobit.com/showthread.php?t=2295

Cheers

solbjerg

p.s. It is precisely the IObit / GameBooster folder that has to be deleted in a Clean Install operation to be sure that no leftovers are lurking there :-)

Hi Daniel

What is the 3.18 (train/bus departure time) :-)

Cheers

solbjerg

Hey,

I get the same error with 3.18. I have been using GB for months and have had no problem before the new version. I've tried to delete the folder and completely reinstall but the error appears again. Where can I find the older version I used before?
