Protection Still On after System Reinstallation OR on Portable Drive?

Will the protection be still on

1) after system reinstallation, and

2) for files/folders on portable drives/disks?

 

If so, is it achieved as long as the operating system has installed a IOBit Protected Folder?

The protection will be invalid after system reinstallation and the protection for files/folders on portable drives/disks will only be valid on the computer installed the Protected Folder.

As a suggestion, IOBit Protected Folder would be preferable, if it can achieve the above 2 issues.

I am using the latest version of Protected Folder. As soon as I put my USB drive to another computer, the "protected" folders show up.

 

If I switch the USB drives (with different drive letters), the protection will become useless.

 

Did I miss anything here?

 

Software is installed on the WinXP Pro system. Protected Folder v. 1.0.
