I installed ASC months ago didnt really like it.

Did normal uninstall.

Since then in my context menus

such as my recycle bin this appears:

Clean recycle bin and Privacy C

The context menu data is stored in the Registry.

I've removed some of those by using 'Regedit' program, but It's Not easy.

Here's a webpage with Info about that.

Using utility programs to remove them.

http://windowsxp.mvps.org/context_folders.htm

(scroll down to 'ShellMenuView', it's a Nirsoft utility)

(scroll to bottom of page for download link)

I hope this helps!

Hi confuseddonna, welcome to IObit Forum! :-D

My first advice would be to install the new version ASC4 and try it.

If you really want to get rid of it, my second advise would be to reinstall it (I believe it is ASC3.) and uninstall it with IObit Uninstaller software downloadable from IObit Uninstaller 2 Beta 1.0 is available! thread.

.

Cheers.

Yes, I just downloaded, unzipped and installed the 'ShellMenuView' utility

and I'm having trouble finding the Menu Info that I want to locate.

It seems more complicated than using Regedit.

So re-installing may be the easiest to do. :-(

If someone out there knows how to locate things using 'ShellMenuView', Please let us know?

(Not all of the program Icons are displayed in left column and there's no menu separation, that I can find?)

Best to reinstall ASC3 and use the uninstall however, I did do that originally...

Stay tuned folks, will keep you aprised of the sit rep.

Fingers crossed please.
