Disable the auto update feature

Is there a way to disable the auto update feature for Smart Defrag 2? I would like to manually update the product.

We have requested that before on this forum,

but as far as I can remember there is No way to disable the Auto-update,

which gets very annoying for me also. ;-)

Well I guess that I will be going with MyDefrag 4.31 once again. It's too bad that they have to give you something without that option to turn that off.

I have learned to Overlook small annoyances like that and the header-column alignment issues,

to be able to use the great Smart-defrag2 program. :grin:

 

BTW - I've been reading reviews about 'MyDefrag 4',

and they are saying that it is not compatible with W-7 64bit or W-8?

What is weird is that if you click on yes and still do not update the program it doesn't come up again asking to update.

A workaround could be to use the firewall to deny Smart Defrag internet access. That way it can't check for updates anymore. An admittedly crude way to stop automatic updates and it's going a long way considering there really should be a function to turn updates off inside the application itself *feature request*.
