System Optimization Settings?

Hey,

 

Used to be a ASC user back upon my old machine maybe about a year ago. Come back to it recently and just a quick query about system opimization settings. Most likely a dumb question however with the network optimization setting I am wondering whether my network would count as LAN or DSL.

 

As I have a Sky broadband connection so I would think DSL is the correct option although what makes me query LAN is that as with most people the computer connects via a Sky Sagem F@ST2504N router using ethernet cable?

If the Sky-Router connects directly to the Modem,

or is the type router with built-in Modem,

and the Sky-Router connects directly to your computer,

then you would use DSL.

 

If your router connects to a Swithing-Hub or another router, before going to Modem, then it would be LAN.

I do believe its built in as microfilter upon phone socket, adsl cable then going from microfilter to the router and then the router connects to me through ethernet.
