Two questions about a recent purchase i made

Howdy, just created an account since i have two situations with a recent purchase i made, i bought ASC13 twice, separate keys in the same order, i thought i could use both keys to extend the subscription time of the software for 2 years at least, seems like i can't, i activated 1 license only, i wanted to know if the second license i also bought in the same order will remain unused untill i activate it or is it already in use without being activated?

 

I have the tendency of buying 2-3 years instead of 1 when there are "promotions" on software i enjoy using, but i was surprised by not being able to stack multiple licenses in order to extend the subscription time.

 

Next question, which is a troubling one... how do i cancel my auto renewal? I noticed there was a box that was permanently ticked on (meaning i couldn't remove auto renewal untill after the purchase), i've gone to the FAQ and i've seen two different ways for removing auto renewal, one mentions about doing a login on a page i can't login even after creating an account and the other tells me to go to 2checkout (the company that did my order) and do it there, which i also tried but the temporarly login system there is also not working as it automatically considers sent links as expired or already used, managed to create an account there but still have no access to my orders. I've already sent a support ticket there, i don't know how long untill i get a reply, and i also have no clue if i have to do it there since the FAQ states two different ways, both of which aren't working.

 

This is becoming a hassle for me, outside of activating the license and having the software unlocked, everything else seems to be going bad. This almost feels like a maze to try and get to do something that should be straight forward from the get go.

 

Not to mention that i had to create like, 3 accounts or something because of all of this, it's extremelly confusing and really getting on my nerves. (Forum account, 2checkout account and a zendesk/iobit/nexway/whatever account)

 

If i could get some help on this, i would appreciate it. Thanks!

Your first question is a little confusing. First you say that "it seems you can't use the second licence to extend the software for 2 years"....then you as " if the second licence will remain unused until you activate it"

 

The second licence should not begin it's 12 month validity period until you activate it. The code is unique is your property which you purchased and you decide when you activate it.

However, I do not think it is sensible to purchase 2 licences in order to take advantage of discounts. You would be much better off waiting until near the renewal date and then using the Licence Renewal facility here in the support section of the Forum. You get much better deals. You will find the support ( the drop down menu also has a Refund request option) section in the top right corner at the following link....

As for the second question......the best way to resolve complex issues with licences/renewals is to send a PM (Private Message) to Cicely, who is the Iobit liaison here at the Forum. I mean, i could use it, but i would have to switch the currently active license with another key, implying it would not stack both subscriptions and instead use 2 licenses of 1 year at the sametime, which is not what i had in mind.

 

I don't know about what deals iobit offers at the end of the subscription as i am a new user, but the current one was good enough for me, which is why i bought two of them, not sure if that is meant to be like that or not, i simply clicked on the software to redirect me to one page, it was on discount and it applied another 25% off for 30 minutes, then i googled other software and ended up adding more software to the shopping cart to see what to consider buying, one of which was another key for the same license i had already added through the redirect from the software itself, i noticed that both licenses were on discount and were slightly off from each other in terms of pricing. Ended up removing most of the stuff from the cart except for the 2 licenses for the same software and ended up buying those. Was considering the ultimate package, but since i still have avast running for a while longer, i might stick with it for as long as i can then switch to something else.

About that, 2checkout support replied saying they removed autorenewal for "this license" as per my request, even though i did not mention anything about having 2 licenses (1 used and 1 unused), would make sense for the auto renewal to be deactivated on the entire order, not just one license. As i bought both of them in the same order checkout. I already replied back to them a few minutes ago to which they proceeded ro redirect me to iobit support for further help with links that had nothing to do with my question. Guess i have to send a PM to Cicely and see what goes.

Yes....follow the advice I gave you.

As for the discounts, if you look at the support link I gave you, you will see that the offer there for renewal is 80% off....which is a lot better than the 25% you got.

Also, do not ever use any of the phone numbers....as there are serious issues regarding them.
