As a contribution, windows 7 has the option of adding contextual menus on the start bar. i.e. chrome has the history with a right click. would it be possible to add some of the more common, or important features of ASC in a similar manner? such as Smart Ram, quick scan, optimize, and turning the turbo boost on or off?
Some of the utility programs in ASC should not be run at the same time as other programs are running or loaded in memory, such as the Browser.
Many people tend to forget that the Internet-Browser is just Another program and not part of the Operating-system.
Only a few of them could be safely activated from Browser.
So I think it would be a bad idea to run ASC utilties From the Browser, Sorry. :???:

I think it would be good to hear some feedback from Iobit on this issue.
Yes, I agree completely, but from what I've seen in the past, I doubt that the IObit programmers will let us know what they had in mind.
But I think they just wanted to test that additional routine, to the beta-6 program, and did not consider the problems it would cause?
Since I'm sure they thought that most users would know not to install a beta version over a Pro version.

I was told the beta is for testing only, but that all I have now to use !!:cry:
Can't you Reinstall 5, if you don't like 6 ?
(Be sure to Un-install 6, before installing 5, though)
I don't know if you can or not, since I no longer have a dedicated Beta-testing computer,
but it seems that should work?

Thanks for the Info!
The malware scan program in ASC is not a complete Security utility,
and your Info verifies that.
It was not designed to be, which is why IObit recently created ASC with AV.
ASC/AV is a more complete Anti-virus and Malmare protection program.
Hopefully your forum-post will remind other users of that.

BTW Beta 6.2 wipes out the registration key from Ver 5.4 and deletes Ver 5.4 when you update beta 6 .1 to beta 6.2 and you have to reenter using up a second of 3 purchased keys

"Automatic Repair" does not stay ticked on purpose not to cause unwanted results if a user forgets that it is ticked and deep registry is fixed without double checking the consent of the user.

As an avid user of the Pale Moon browser, I would like to see this browser added to the optimize selections.

Wow, I have read about 'Pale Moon browser' but you are the first person I've found that uses it.
I've read that it is an improvement over FF, but not sure which versions of each they were referring to?
Have you compaired it to IE-9?
I hope it's not anything like 'Blue Moon Pale Ale',

I have a suggestion.......scan and repair should not have to be checked to perform repairs, it should be the default. The entire purpose of the program is to scan & repair so why should I have to tick a box to instruct it to do so?
Personally I prefer to check the results of the Scans,
Before doing the Repair, of selected items.
But I suppose that I Like to 'Keep track' of what is being Changed in my computers
more than most people Do. ;-)

I use Windows-media-player
but if I encounter a video file it will not run I use 'YTD Downloader & Converter'
to convert it to a format WMP will run.
If YTD can not Convert it then it is probably corrupted.
There are Many versions of the MP4 format, PSP-video, Ipad, Iphone, etc. ,
and I think WMP only does the PSP,
but I'm not sure about that since I don't use the Ipad and Iphone or other versions.
The Basic free version of YTD will do Conversions.

because I'm an old-fashion 'Hands-On' type of guy,
But I can certainly understand why some people will prefer an 'All In One' package.

It would be nice if SD let you know when your drive is getting too full and give the options of Moving or Deleting something,
instead of what it does Now. :-?

I wondered if it was possible to have a function in the program that could move videos to another drive (external or large sticks) - possibly likewise pictures or other very large files, before running a scan?
Possibly a pop-up that presented you with that opportunity.
Perhaps it could be in ASC too?
