  1. Well samr By me it seems to have disappeared. I had the blank selection box too and also once in a while the Optimization scan hung, not always though - only a couple of times - it often ran even though the box was blank. I corrected the setting several times, but it kept showing up blank after a restart of the program. I did a totally clean install with the new version, registered again and configured the settings, placed what I wanted to keep in the Ignore list during the first scan, and it has kept the setting in the optimization box since. Cheers solbjerg
  2. Hi samr and enoskype It is a small bug, - it will jump out of its setting again, but a fix is already there. Download ASC v.3.3.3. and the problem should be solved. Cheers solbjerg
  3. Hi 2in10 Link to the newest version can be found here: http://forums.iobit.com/showthread.php?t=3043 in post #1 Let's see if that solves it. Probably best with a clean install - have you read about that concept in Usage of IObit Products? Cheers solbjerg
  4. Hi 2in10 What ASC version are you running? What version is your sut_winmanager.exe - in the ASC folder? If you have installed the newest ASC version 3.3.2 - is the problem still there? Perhaps the best course of action would be a clean install of the newest version. Cheers solbjerg
  5. Hi Mongoose Perhaps you had something running in the background during your first attempt to install the new version?? Cheers solbjerg
  6. Hi Mongoose Yes you only have to delete (or empty) the ASC folder. If you delete the whole IObit folder, you will throw out all other IObit products you have there too, without having properly uninstalled them. You might keep your Ignore List in ASC in order to not having to place ignored items again in the Ignore List when you run the first scan. Cheers solbjerg
  7. Hi masterix Try going to Restore Center in ASC and restore the changes made that did this. If that works, then when you run the next scan look through all the "problems" especially in System Optimize Scan and place the ones you need in the ignore list. Please read this: Online Help for IObit Software Cheers solbjerg
  8. Hi 2in10 (1024) Do you have x-skins installed? Cheers solbjerg
  9. Hi Tim WTINILA actually :-) (QUT)? (What The Internet Needs Is Less Acronyms) (Questionable User Terminology)? ;-) Cheers solbjerg
  10. Hi dmachado Thank you for your suggestion, I will add an explanation soon. In the meantime try reading this guide: http://personal-computer-tutor.com/abc2/v10/hal10.htm Cheers solbjerg
  11. Hi samr Have you tried this: Performance "Let Windows choose the best settings for your computer" This window can be reached by writing sysdm.cpl in "Run" or The Windows key + Pause/Break Opens System Settings and then you choose the tab Advanced and the button Performance - Settings Or you can right click My Computer, choose Properties - the tab Advanced and the button "Settings" in the Performance section. This can sometimes restore settings that the System Optimize has changed, but you will then have to place that "problem" in the Ignore List the next time you run System Optimize. There are further possibilities in that window if you want to experiment a bit. Cheers solbjerg
  12. Hi Leeman I do not myself use the automatic functions, but I think that the only place those repairs are kept is in the Restore center. And there you cannot open them and view the contents to my knowledge. The only commands there are either to delete the restore point or to restore the latest changes made. So if you want to see what changes the scan has made I think you have to restore the latest changes made and then run the scan manually and take a look under "problems" before clicking repair. Perhaps IObit could place a command in the right click in the restore center called view changes. You/someone/we could suggest that to IObit under the thread suggestions :-) Cheers solbjerg
  13. Hi Tim In a way you are right, but remember they are almost all of them English/American acronyms :-) As I have explained before when someone asked the same question as you, fx. is a very, very, very common abbreviation in Danish - and may I add not too difficult to glean the meaning from in my opinion, so it slips into my writing often. Sorry to have slipped up like that again - will try to write it out in the future. Cheers solbjerg p.s. the most common is probably 例如 (for example)
  14. Hi Tim, sorry - of course I mean folder or directory. I will hasten to correct it - thank you!! If you read Usage of Iobit Functions under Acronyms fx. is "translated" there :-) but it means for example. Cheers solbjerg
  15. Generate a list by using Command prompt Hi all I just added this in Usage of IObit Products Generating a list of content by using the Command prompt fx. if you need to see or send a list of the content in your Program folder/directory you can use the command prompt to generate it. dir /b "C:\Programs" > "Desktop\Programs.txt" Copy the above string - open your command prompt - right click in the window and paste the copy - hit enter. Then you will have that text file sitting on your desktop waiting for what you want to do with it. You can exchange programs with fx. Documents" or Documents\Pictures" if these are the ones you want to generate a list for. Cheers solbjerg
  16. Hi Dawe Yes there seems to be some rather annoying bugs in this beta version. When trying out new programs - and this goes at least triple for beta versions - you should always create a restore point before installing and running a new application/program. Cheers solbjerg
  17. Hi q I start by running a full scan, then let the realtime protection take care of what malware that is trying to get into the computer. My guess is that the realtime protection would eventually have found the other malware too, when they exhibited activity. Cheers solbjerg
  18. Security 360 Hi enoskype! Should we open a new topic in Usage of IObit Products concerning Security 360? Or should we just add it to additional utilities? Perhaps we should wait until it is fully functional, before adding a description? How do you feel? Have asked Tim for the language file, - perhaps it isn't fully developed yet, because some of the functions in the program isn't activated yet? Have by the way had a problem with an add-in in MsOutlook, that I deactivated in order for MsOutlook to work, but then AVG stopped responding correctly, so I have uninstalled both programs and have for the time being just installed AVG again. Looks like it was Security 360 that was the culprit in that. Waiting for response from Tim. Cheers solbjerg
  19. Hi frustrated_user If you have the install file for the version you tried to uninstall, then try installing that again - first close your automatic functions and try emptying the ASC folder. After the install, you ought to be able to update. Or delete the program - clean out the folder too, and install the newest version. Cheers solbjerg
  20. Great CTim (I refuse to call you crazy) :-) Neither are you retarded :-) To view how the forum works take a look here: http://forums.iobit.com/showthread.php?p=13925#post13925 Cheers solbjerg
  21. Hi Tim The thread was made before the newest versions and I haven't gotten round to update all information yet, in the case of firefoxTCP Optimizer, the links found there is still valuable. One of the problems is that some of the posts contains around the limit of characters allowed for a post. I think most of the new information is in the thread but perhaps placed where I could find room. I have mentioned it earlier in the thread in which we are writing. IObit is in the process of writing their own extended help and have kindly made use of our user made Usage of IObit Products thread to try to help users with problems. We - the users have tried to make the thread as accessible as we could - but we are user - so all constructive suggestions are welcome. Thank you Tim! You are welcome to rewrite sections - and we will insert it/exchange previous post - parts of previous posts with it, if your description is better. Cheers solbjerg
  22. Thanks Tim!! Placed another link there to replace it. Cheers solbjerg
  23. Hi Nancy detailer isn't present at the moment it seems, but in the meantime try reading this post http://forums.iobit.com/showthread.php?p=11513#post11513 :-) Cheers solbjerg
  24. I added this command today in http://forums.iobit.com/showthread.php?p=13486#post13486 schedlgu.txt (written in Run) Opens the scheduled tasks log Cheers solbjerg
  25. Thank you Tim, - great - thanks for your help! I have now repaired that one too! Cheers solbjerg
