1. @Scannan! If you look at my profile,as I did before updating ALL necessary drivers,I had absolutely no problems at all. I would advise all members to have a look-see at their hardware before running the driver updater and/or saving the old driver or setting a restore point... -Cowboy
2. @All! What a marvelous software put together by the developers, support,Admins,Mods and ALL the people who collaborated on this fine piece of software! It is truly magnificent, kudoes to all! It works perfectly with no glitches or hiccups!
3. @Cicely! All is swell now that I dealt with those Windows Updates (make them Optional?) Performance Monitor is set, thank you! I have an Acer Aspire 5750G Notebook with i5 Dual Core 4 threaded processor,Geforce 520M Cuda Video.667 Gig HDD,8 Gigs Ram,Two Terabyte External Expansion Drive... (Check my Profile?) All is sweet now EXCEPT for my worries about MANDATORY Windows Updates!!?? Thank you for all you do and have done Sheila! -Cowboy
4. (sigh) When scanning ASC 7B,it hangs at one % when 'disc errors' checking... Cicely,I'll get back to you about the queries you made.Sorry, but I am sick and going to bed... -Cowboy
5. @Cicely In the Toolbox for ASC 7Beta,the Uninstaller just 'hangs there' without opening.Further, when trying to close 7Beta,it freezes and Windows wants to close it which I did (close the whole ASC7Beta). :? -Cowboy
6. @Cicily ASC 7B does not have a 'Performance Monitor' like Ultimate6 Pro does,I like to put it in the upper right corner of my screen. It doesn't stay on top if I am doing something on the forefront. Cheers! -Cowboy
7. @Drata The registry gets corrupted over time and leaves 'remnants' or fragments over time thus degrading your computer performance. A periodic scan and/or fix, defragment and compression of the registry is very important. An optimization of the registry should only be done every month or two however (saves excess wear on the hard drive)! Cowboy
8. @Scannan I would suggest mate, that he use Game Booster as I have absolutely no issues running ASC 7B and ASC 6Ultimate Pro alongside each other but each one scans differently as I have set them not to overlap.I do have the Memory Optimizer set as a startup item and it works great (I have 8megs/memory and use only 22% of that when I have my Pale Moon browser running 40+ tabs).ASC 7B is working very well for me thus far and I have no problems with it. -Cowboy
9. @Cicely Hiya Cicely! Does IObit have any possible plans for a Process Manager?....I note that IMF does a bit of this,or is it my imagination? Cheers and bottoms up! -Cowboy
10. On second thought lass... A dropdown list would be too cumbersome. But there is no delineation as to what 'Fine' and 'Fix' are in the software.I think users should have a choice as to what% that they need to defrag, a 'Blank Box' for a user to put in a % at which he would be notified to 'Fix' sounds like a winner to me.You know different strokes for different people. It doesn't affect me that much because I use UltraDefrag from Sourceforge that can defrag any file, with many options and does a Bootup defrag that usually finds 10-30 fragments that I suspect are in the MBR. I defrag at the end of every session/day as a matter of routine and with the Bootup defrag I have a clean machine! Of course I check with IObit Defrag 2.7 to check and verify we are on the same page.Maybe in the future IObit will spend more development time on 2.7 on some of those excellent features but I know they have other priorities right now... Am I clear enough or have I confused you even more??! -Cowboy
11. @enoskype! I can see that some of my 'secret sources' are not good for here! -Cowboy
12. @enoskype! Aww shucks mate, little ole me? My first sticky and I would be honored.. -Cowboy
13. @Cicely! Cicely, What I am talking about is a 'user' controlled defrag%,ie like a button that drops down with different %'s of fragmentation where the user sets the % defrag parameters. All we have now is a "Fine" button and I do not have a clue as to what IObit considers NOT FINE. I think most users are smart enough to defrag when their machines need to be defragged, but like I said,I suspect the 5% level would be where the warning to defrag is. I think a 'drop down' list of user chosen %'s to warn a user is more useful with a warning at 5% by default being a given. Am I clear enough or have I confused you even more??! -Cowboy
14. Action Center Under the 'Action Center' there is no way to set or tell when a defrag is necessary. The industry standard is 5% fragmentation. Might an adjustable 'Defrag' dropdown be included in a future MF 2.1? -Cowboy
15. I put this separate thread up for all that have suggestions, gripes, problems and other issues with Malware Fighter 2.0 Final all by itself. Please feel free to post away!
16. @Cicely! Um..Cicely I hope this/these links gives at least some of what you are looking for! :-) http://www.spywareinfoforum.com/topic/127913-malware-domain-blocklist-updated/ and http://www.malware.com.br/lists.shtml -Cowboy EDIT: Links noparsed for the benefit of members not to click to connect!
17. Great! Bless your kind heart lass! MF 2 IS one of the best IObit softwares if I do say so myself! -Cowboy
18. Now! I want IObit Malware Fighter 2 Final RIGHT NOW!! ....thank you for all you have done for us all sheila! (Aussie speak for woman!) -Cowboy
19. Ready to Rumble! I had this feeling today that this MF should go out of Beta to FINAL! Another interesting thing about 2beta is that it sort of acts like a process/software changer monitor and asks if any change should be blocked/allowed...I love this! My Online Armor Firewall does some of the same thing! Rarely do they both go off at the same time, they must be taking turns! So let us get this show on the road for much more protection and features than MF 1.7....especially when it became evident to me that ASC Ultimate6 Pro caught 20 malware cookies that MF 1.7 did not.I do not now have the confidence in Malware Fighter 1.7 Pro that I once had. Great job development team and to all the fine folks that helped in Beta testing and in making excellent points about a NEW marvelous piece of software,as IObit always does! Cowboy
20. About Beta Softwares... It is not a IObit product I am going to mention first. It is Mozilla Sunbird which is an excellent calendar program which has been in Beta for YEARS now and it is excellent. So excellent they are not spending anymore dev time on it that I know of. I've used it as my MAIN scheduler for a long time. I'm Beta testing the new and excellent IObit Malware Fighter 2.0 Beta and it is so good I am expecting it to be a 'Final' very soon.I have mine set on 'paranoid' detection and surprisingly enough have had very few popups warning me of this, that,o the other! Fine job IObit Developers on the new and simply magnificent MF 2.0Beta!! -Cowboy
21. WoW!! I had just posted a few hours ago about the various features that are now a part of the completed MF beta! Thanks to the developers who are really amazing. Thanks also to the long time beta testers that made it happen as well. And thank you Cicely for being the glue that binds (aka facilitator). It looks to me like this is VERY close to being released as FINAL.I will sing for my supper when I get this to replace MF 1.7! Is this version very likely to be declared final and released ? ......Oh,before I forget.Ultimate6 Pro caught 20 Malwares (mostly cookies) that my IObit 1.7 Malware Fighter did NOT stop?? I was wondering why but I guess it was a good thing that I have both and love them dearly. Please! Say MF 2.0 Final will be coming out in days!! -Cowboy
22. One Big Suggestion for IObit and Cicely! It has been well documented that I am a huge fan of such a marvelous software in IObit ASC Ultimate6! There simply is no better! However, saying that,I do have a major suggestion for the developers... ASC Ultimate6 really would knock the socks off any competition by the inclusion of a GOOD Process Manager (like Pro Lasso,Free from Major Geeks) which I use extensively. LOOK AT MY profile and you will see the stuff most of the members use here plus my setup. You can't tell I am looking for a FREE license can you?  All else aside,a Process Manager would fit as nicely as a glove on a hand... PS Take a look at the Freeware version of Pro Lasso as the only major difference is in program updates about four times a month and you will get an idea of the many capabilities of Pro Lasso Pro (I have a lifetime license+2 one year licenses that I haven't yet used (hint, hint). -Cowboy
23. Hello and welcome! I have had no problem with seeing even the dark skin.Have you tried the white skin under 'skin' by the setting button on the upper right of the main display? or adjusted your brightness on your computer? (Start button, then enter adjust brightness....the appropriate result will come up!) -Cowboy
24. Question/Gripe When you scan deep or otherwise, you get some registry items marked as 'high risk' if cleaned from the registry. I don't know about others but I avoid them like the plague! Afraid my computer won't boot up! Isn't there a way to mark Registry items marked 'High Risk' as 'Safe' to clean? :???: I'm just afraid to jump off the deep end and include all 'High Risk' items when I clean the Registry... @Cicely,I'm interested in your input. :-D -Cowboy (running ASC latest+Antivirus)
