The worse part is my ASC Ultimate 6 key just expired like 3 days ago... I have one for pro but want to try the new version of ultimate to see if I want to upgrade to ultimate again.

Why do I need a license code to test a "Beta" version? It will not even open without the code because my license for 6 expired previously.

I can't wait for the new Smart Defrag beta to be release :) Does anyone know when the eta for SD 3 is?

If you put in your license code from ASC 6 Pro it will activate ASC 7 as well.

Actually the license would be usable in asc 6 as well so if they do not find the beta to their liking it can still be used. I believe that ASC 7 ask for a license code because internally it is considered more or a pre-release (or preview release) more so than a beta. I know it says beta 3 but that is still what I believe. They also did the same thing with the final versions of asc 6 pro and ultimate betas.

Cody if you have a license for ASC 6 Pro use that it works for ASC 7

It would be a great feature if a boot-time hardware diagnostic utility could be built into advanced system care. A real through multi-pass diagnostic test would be ideal.

It actually isn't asking for a key they are offering a key to the top 20 people who give them feedback to make it better.

It could be an update that microsoft released and ASC just happened to install. I believe if Cicely says it is related to an issue with microsoft there would be a basis for it.

Yes they only stopped working after I ran ASC 7. However when I clicked on them it sent me to the store and repaired them. Granted I needed to do them each one by one. It is working now but figured you could use the input and data from the infotool.

Now I wish the forums had a like button for this!!!:-D

Broken Metro Apps Hey I just wanted to report that I ran into the problem with my metro apps breaking. I thank downloaded and ran the info helper tool I hope this input helps :)

Also Cicely I want to show you this also. ASC 7 Beta 2 says my drive is not fragmented BUT smart Defrag shows all red and black.

Cicely I just wanted to let you know that the amd catalyst removal utility also results in breaking the display settings so it is not necessarily an iobit uninstaller issue. However it also restricts your access privileges in windows and completely takes out UAC... This may have also been the issue with the networking because you need administrator access in order to approve the changes. This all happens with the IOBIT uninstaller and the amd utility but I am leaning more towards it being a problem with AMD driver packaging. Best Regards.

I do not have screenshots because I have re-installed windows since than the video driver glitch. I really do not want to recreate the issue again but it is something that I have noticed consistently with the uninstaller. As for the networking issue it is working ok now of course but it is spiratic it will do it and than if I reboot a couple times not be doing it anymore. But I have attached the log file from ASC just in case that could help pinpoint the networking issue. To be honest I don't know 100% if it is ASC related or windows networking getting touchy

Actually if you you look at the list of fixes in windows 8.1 very little has to do with major bug and more to do with improvements made to the user interface, customization, and improvements to Directx. Don't get me wrong windows 8 had its issues just like any other OS. It took 3 service packs and about 200 hotfixes to make windows xp stable. Windows 8 was pretty stable on release with the exception of a few rare situations. Windows 7 was not that bad either. Vista I agree should never have been released. I have run every version of windows for 3.1 to windows 8.1 and I think windows 8.1 is great.

Suggestion For ASC 7 It would be nice if the system optimization profiles you select in the settings had an option for gaming as well. Also I have noticed that after running the scan that my networking settings get changed and locked. No matter how many times I tell it to enable file sharing it will not switch over. It also than makes joining / making homegroups a problem. I use regular filesharing not the option to share with the homegroup

IOBit Uninstaller I noticed that if you use IOBit uninstaller to remove a driver (such as amd catalyst) it causes damage to the operating system. I used it on my pc to uninstall the AMD Catalyst driver and than when I right clicked on my Desktop instead of saying Screen Resolution it just says display. I also noticed that some of the resolutions my monitor supports were not available and that the refresh rates were affected as well. It was no big problem for me because I needed to re-install windows anyway as I was updating to the Windows 8.1 RTM.

My whole reasoning for this suggestion is so we have a completely offline installer for those who want the full suite of your software installed on a computer with no internet or a slow internet connection. This would be useful for people installing it on a childs computer that they may not want internet access on or for professionals to install all products at once and be able to utilize all of the potential iobit offers without having to install each of the toolbox components individually. In addition some users may prefer to have an all inclusive installer backed up on a thumb driver or there backup hard drive etc. :-)

It was no problem ken my pleasure. At least iobit will now be aware of the problem as well. That is what makes software like driver booster so complex it is not always just a matter of programming it is also a matter of the drivers working with one another. So at least you can rest assured that Driver Booster did what it was intended to do and this specific problem was actually a manufacter driver :):-D

Manage My Mobile Component I just wanted to report I have a t-mobile Samsung Galaxy SIII and the Manage My Mobile incorrectly reports the presence of an SD. I do not have an SD card in this phone yet it comes from the factory with 16GB of internal memory. I do not know if this is the program reporting it incorrectly or the phone misreporting it.

The control panel should be accessible through your start menu and than click uninstall a program and look in the list for the realtek driver and uninstall that and than reboot if dolby still doesn't work you may need to uninstall that as well you should always be able to just re-run the driver booster to put them back on but I would do them one at a time. If there is software called conexant on the pc remove that as well.

Ken I did a little digging on this issue for you and it is actually a conflict with the conexant audio driver or realtek drivers on your system if you go into the control panel and remove those drivers, restart the computer and than re-install the Dolby updates it should correct your problems :wink: Hope this helps you. It seems that the realtek drivers have a dolby component embeded in them already. You may need to uninstall the realtek drivers and the dolby advanced audio drivers and re-install them

This is a possibility I think that is because the profiles are based on the windows 8 version of the catalyst which does not support directx 11.2 and therefore can't account for the tiled resources that was implemented in the new directx. The tiled resources drastically change how your gpu and cpu work together in accelerating the video and that coupled with the profiles may be contradicting each other. If you need certain setting for specific games you can always manually make a custom profile for it in the catalyst control center.:-D

That device to me would seem to be a component of the chipset drivers from intel instead of a stand alone driver. However I do not know if that is relevant to the reason the driver booster can't find it to download maybe the updated version number is in the datebase but the overall chipset driver isn't just a thought.
