  1. Y'know, the more I think about it the more I am convinced that the 'Check Disk' for Errors should be removed from the general scan and put in the Toolbox as a 'Check Disk' ie.Run ckdsk.exe.

It would shorten the time of the General scan considerably.

I think it shouldn't be removed as this way more areas could be scanned. BTW whatever you do you'll need a restart of pc any way after disk checking.

  2. Hi, MMM is a great tool. But honestly speaking, it makes some errors in the contact names while displaying (partially it is removed)

Any reasons why names aren't displayed properly.

BTW it doesn't recognize some devices properly and scanning most of the times stops in between

  3. *Quick Scan must scan a Registry positions like (HKEY_ROOT,HKEY_Local_Machine,and little more)

*When i want to unistall the ASCU 7 must has what i remove, if you don't understand let me explain if i press the Smart Defrag the program installed auto when i want to remove the ASCU or ASC 7 must have a menu to choose what i want to remove with checkbox's like Iobit Unistaller , Malware Fighter , Driver Booster and etc.

Quick Scan Tested on Win XP

the other looks smoothly and good :)

    Thanks,

    Belos

    Good ideas.

  4. When Scanning, it hangs when it hits 'Check Drive for errors at 1% most of the time. Sometimes if I wait long enough it will finish or the progress bar will hang about 1 cm from finish. :?

My main point is that it is very unreliable.

    ... Driver Booster hangs ...

Its happening on my pc as well in ASC while scanning using care tab. It hangs in junk files clean and drive errors not driver booster. Possibly this is what might have been happening with you.

  5. Hi Scannan

    I agree!

The number of read/write cycles that was expected earlier on by the specialist have gone down and down - they started in the 100.000 cycle range, but I doubt that any would claim more than 10% of that today, some are as low as 1%.

I came across this article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wear_leveling amongst others

I do hope they will come up with a solution to this in the near future, but it might need a whole new approach

    Cheers

    solbjerg

@scannan AND @solbjerg, I also agree, it would make the system more vulnerable day by day and too slow

  6. Driver booster is showing a version of graphics driver which is unsupported for my graphics card chipset. I had tried that version earlier which made my system full of errors. I had to format it and reinstall again. I suggest that you should show driver updates only if they support the hardware of pc.

I won't ever install that update again now.:cry::cry::cry::cry:

  7. To be honest, Netbook users(like me ) or those with old system specs can't multitask most of the time, had to do most tasks(even running one of Advanced SystemCare Ultimate's features!) one by one, and wouldn't wanna waste a bit of available resources unused just for one task(full system scan). The choice is of course optional and can be safe by having it auto-adjusting every time the amount of available resources changes.

for old pcs like my pc before upgrading, it was better to scan for viruses using low priority setting so that I could multitask easier while scanning. but I don't scan when working on the pc but after all work is over and set it to shut down after scan is over.

  8. The whole principle that Iobit programs employ is that they run in the background and only use available resources thereby not slowing down your system. If the user has a choice to to give ASC priority for resource availability, then that would defeat the object as ASC would them use resources which would not be available for other programs, thereby slowing down other programs. I can see that causing issues with users.

Why exactly do you need the scan to be faster. You can start the scan and continue working on your computer and the scan will complete in its own time.

It does not interfere with your work on the computer. You can always make a coffee or read a book.

yes, that true in a sense, btw does ascu have antirootkit functionality
