Asc V6 Beta

Just downloaded and installed the beta. The new interface will take some getting used to, however, looks clean and simple! Scan time seems to have diminished too. First impression is that I like it so far.

Program is still stable. Read some posts about it uninstallinig ASC V5 prior to install. I did not have the same issue. It seems to be running well so far.

Second time around cleaning my desktop PC...even though I had set all settings to active, full detection was turned off this time, and I had to manually select it again.

Hi Xcoalminer,

Welcome to the forum. The 6 Beta normally removes V5 before installing. Are you saying that it allowed V5 to remain on your machine....and if so are both running.

Norton 360 uninstalled for new beta

Had IOBIT PRO 5 before beta

 

I hope you don't mind that I combined your threads... I did so because the content and purpose was the same and help is easier offered now that they are combined.;-)

 

I hope that you have used the Norton Removal Tool to remove all the remenants of Symantic on your system?

On bootup tonight experienced a hang that I could not identify. Restarted and selected boot windows normally and came up O.K..

It would be good if you elaborate and describe a bit more in your posts if there is a question that you have... This would be a good one to begin with:

It would appear you are posting mostly observations but also a suggestion. If you don't describe further then I fear the meaning of your prior posts will be lost.:cry:
